Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the Ambassador of China

On April 17, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus, Xie Xiaoyong.
The interlocutors touched upon the current issues of Belarusian-Chinese interaction, including the upcoming contacts at the high and highest level.
The conversation focused on the preparation of the plan of cooperation between Belarus and China until 2030 and the promotion of promising cooperation projects. In this regard, the sides also discussed the issues of the Year of Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation.
The sides touched upon the subject of international organisations. Taking into account Belarus' forthcoming full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to closely cooperate in the SCO, as well as to cooperate on Belarus' way to BRICS.
The parties noted the strategic nature of the partnership between the two countries and reaffirmed their readiness to continue to provide mutual support in issues affecting the fundamental interests of both states.
