Statement by MFA of Belarus regarding the situation around Cuba
05 February 2026
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus is monitoring with concern the situation around Cuba and the supply of energy resources to the country.
The threat of the current escalation in the Caribbean basin evolving into a severe humanitarian crisis with unpredictable consequences is of particular concern.
Minsk remains steadfast in its position that the use of unilateral coercive measures is unacceptable. Such measures create obstacles to trade relations between states, hinder the process of comprehensive socio-economic development, and impede the well-being of the population.
We are firmly convinced that all disputes must be resolved through peaceful dialogue and within the framework of international law.
