Third Belarusian-Latin American Forum

On April 23, 2024 the III Belarusian-Latin American Forum was held at the Business and Cultural Complex of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation with the organisational support of the RUE "National Centre for Marketing and Price Study".

The event was attended by representatives of 12 Embassies of Latin American countries in the Russian Federation, half of them at the level of heads of diplomatic missions. In addition, the Forum was attended by heads of trade missions of the region's countries and heads of trade and economic services of Latin American Embassies.

In his speech, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, noted that the achievements of the two previous forums are in demand in the current conditions and can become a good basis for the successful implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects with partners from Latin America.

E.Shestakov identified agriculture, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and logistics as promising areas of cooperation.  

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus expressed hope that the event would make it possible to establish solid business contacts between interested Latin American partners and Belarusian enterprises and companies. He emphasised the importance of reaching concrete agreements.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia, Dmitry Krutoy, also addressed the audience. He noted the export-oriented nature of the Belarusian economy, the Belarusian GDP growth, and the focus of Latin American countries on the development of mutually beneficial dialogue.  

The event was attended by representatives of the management of a number of Belarusian governmental bodies and companies.
