On the Visit of the Ambassador of Belarus Mr.Sergei Aleinik to Rome and the Vatican

On January 13 – 15, 2014 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Ireland, the Holy See and the Sovereign Order of Malta Mr.Sergei Aleinik visited Rome and the Vatican to participate in the traditional holiday audiences of Pope Francis and Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta Mr.Matthew Festing for the diplomatic corps on the occasion of New Year festivities.
During his stay in the Vatican Ambassador Mr.Aleinik held bilateral meetings with the Secretary of State of His Holiness Mr.Pietro Parolin, the Secretary for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State Mr.Dominique Mamberti, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, the Honorary Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone.
In the course of the meetings the parties have discussed a range of issues related to the relations between Belarus and the Holy See.
