On the Participation of Mr.Alexander Guryanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the Conference on Middle-Income Countries in San Jose

On June 12 – 14, 2013 the Belarusian delegation headed by Mr.Alexander Guryanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, takes part in the International Conference on Middle-Income countries in San Jose.

On June 12 Mr.Alexander Guryanov as one of the main speakers of the Conference presented the results of Minsk Regional Conference on Middle-Income Countries in the context of sustainable development (May 16 – 17, 2013).

In particular, the Deputy Minister emphasized the necessity of working out the Global Plan of Action on cooperation with the middle-income countries and the creation of the relevant inter-institutional coordination mechanism within the UN.

The Head of the Belarusian delegation called the representatives of governments and international organizations to jointly act for the benefit of middle-income countries within the UN system.

Following the results of the Conference the Declaration specifying the main directions of interaction in improving cooperation between the international organizations and middle-income countries will be adopted.
