On April 22, 2025 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, visited the Apostolic Nunciature and left an entry in the book of condolences in connection with the death of Pope Francis.

‘On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and on my own behalf, I express the words of support and condolences to the Holy See in connection with the death of His Holiness Pope Francis.
We will remember him as an outstanding spiritual leader whose work has left an indelible mark on the hearts of people.
His selfless and generous service to God and humanity will always be an example not only for us, but also for centuries to come for future generations.
I am confident that his noble plans will be persistently realised by his followers all over the world and will make it possible to bring closer the achievement of the ideals of peace and justice to which he devoted his whole life and which are so close to the Belarusian people.
We mourn together with you in connection with this irreparable loss,' said in the condolences.
