On June 18, 2013 the Days of Belarusian Culture opened in Finland for the first time. The event was organized by the Belarusian Embassy in Finland and Lithuania.
Mr.Vladimir Drazhin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Lithuania with concurrent accreditation in Finland took part in the opening ceremony of the Days of Belarusian Culture. The program of the opening ceremony included the exhibition of new books of the publishing house “Belarusian Encyclopedia named after P.Brovka” and exhibition of Yanka Kupala Museum collections, performance of the Kupalinka folk music group, presentation of the Nesvizh cultural complex.
Later on the same day the performance of “TriTformaT” by the Belarusian Theater-Studio of Movie Actors took place.
The representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Finland, the local business community and government officials, Belarusian Diaspora in Finland, diplomats and cultural figures took part in the opening ceremony.
The representatives of the Nesvizh cultural complex held negotiatons with the administration of Suomenlinna Museum and a number of other leading Finnish museums and discussed the ways of cultural and tourist ties development.
