On April 15, 2026 the 5th Belarus–Latin America Forum was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation with the aim of promoting Belarusian exports to Latin America and the Caribbean. The event, co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the National Export Support Centre and the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Russia, was attended by diplomats from 14 countries of the Latin American region.

In his address, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, emphasised Belarus' commitment to the consistent and dynamic development of relations with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. He paid particular attention to the economic dimension of cooperation, promising areas for joint work and new forms of interaction.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Deputy Minister held meetings with ambassadors from a number of Latin American countries. During the talks, topical issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, including trade development, strengthening the legal framework, cooperation in the field of tourism and the simplification of visa regimes.
