On the Session of the Belarus-Tajikistan Intergovernmental Committee

On April 2, 2013 the 8th session of the Belarus-Tajikistan Intergovernmental Committee on trade and economic cooperation took place in Dushanbe. The Belarus delegation was headed by Mr.Leonid Zayats, Minister of Agriculture and Food, the Tajikistan delegation – by Mr.Kasimov Kasim, Minister of Agriculture.

During the session the parties considered the development of Belarus-Tajikistan trade and economic cooperation in 2012 – 2013. The sides discussed the development of cooperation in agriculture, industry, transport, education, healthcare, science and culture, as well as the ways of promoting interaction between the regions and free economic zones of the two countries.

During the trip to Tajikistan the Belarus delegation visited a number of agricultural and industrial enterprises.

The 9th session of the Intergovernmental Committee is planned to be held in Belarus in 2014.
