It is important to clearly understand that the situation is completely within the scope of law.

The situation with the detention is the result of the legal evaluation of the particular person’s actions. There are legitimate reasons and judicial qualification for that. It is referred to the significant economic damage to the interests of the Republic of Belarus.

In this context Investigation Committee in accordance with the principal of independence when exercising its power launched criminal investigation and made a decision to detain Vladislav Baumgertner.

We hope that the issue will be considered by our partners in a responsible manner, keeping with the legitimacy, not basing on emotions or reading any political reasons.
