On March 10-12, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, paying a visit to the People`s Republic of Bangladesh.

On the first day of the visit of Evgeny Shestakov to Dhaka the fifth round of the Belarusian-Bangladeshi political consultations were held at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers. The Bangladeshi delegation was led by the Foreign Secretary, Masud Bin Momen.
During the consultations, a special emphasis was placed on intensifying of the political, trade and economic cooperation, expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations and exchanging of business visits.

Substantive agreements were reached on priority steps to build up dialogue between Minsk and Dhaka in various areas and ways of its further development, including holding the second meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Bangladesh Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as mutual visits at various levels.
A wide range of issues of Belarusian-Bangladeshi relations, including cooperation in the scientific and technical sphere, in the fields of education, culture and tourism, as well as within the framework of international organizations were discussed. The sides exchanged views on current issues of the regional and global agenda.
