On the Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia

On November 6, 2012 Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus met with Mr.Shavarsh Kacharyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

During the meeting the parties discussed the results of the 9th session of the Belarusian – Armenian Intergovernmental Committee on  trade and economic cooperation and the prospects of Belarusian-Armenian interaction in political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres.

The parties underlined that the volume of trade between Belarus and Armenia goes below the economic potential and the level of Belarusian-Armenian relations.

Mr.Vladimir Makei and Mr.Shavarsh Kacharyan discussed a number of projects that will help to increase trade between countries. For example, the establishment of production ventures in Armenian free economic areas.

The parties agreed to continue consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries in order to coordinate activities at the international arena.
