On the Meeting of Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, with Mr.Mihails Popkovs, Ambassador of Latvia to Belarus

On February 7, 2013 Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, met with Mr.Mihails Popkovs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Belarus, at the request of the Ambassador.

During the meeting the parties discussed the results of political, trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Latvia in 2012.

The sides confirmed their interest in further development of cooperation between the two countries in 2013.

Mr.Vladimr Makei and Mr.Mihails Popkovs also considered the issues of transport and transit cooperation and interaction between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Latvia.

The parties also discussed Belarus-EU relations.
