Mr.Vladimir Makei: We thoroughly discussed the state and prospects of the development of bilateral relations with Deputy Prime-Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos today.

We agreed that there is a definite pause in trade, economic, political and cultural cooperation between our countries.

But now we are at a point when we need to develop our cooperation to not only reach the Soviet period level, but go beyond it.

We agreed to take measures that will help to develop interaction in different spheres.

We discussed a number of activities and projects that are being under development now. In this context the forthcoming visit of the President of Laos to Belarus plays a very important role.

We considered the Program of the visit and discussed in details all the activities that will be included into the Program.

We are sure that the visit will lay a foundation for the development of trade and economic cooperation between our countries.
