On the Meeting of Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, with Ms.Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa

On September 3, 2013 Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, met with Ms.Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Minister of the International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa.

During the negotiations the parties discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation. The sides paid attention to the search for the new forms and way of interaction to expand trade cooperation. In this context the prospects of cooperation in industry, agriculture, education and science were considered.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of Belarus’ cooperation (including as the member of the Customs Union) with the South African Development Community and African Union.

The parties exchanged views on the current issues on the international agenda, discussed Belarus – RSA interaction in international organizations.
