On Belarus-Latvia Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs

On May 17, 2013 Belarus-Latvia consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs on foreign policy analysis and planning will take place in Minsk.

The Belarusian delegation will be headed by Mr.Vladimir Skvortsov, Chief of the Division for Foreign Policy Studies, the Latvian – by Mr.Yuris Poikans, Ambassador-at-large, Head of the Planning Group.

It is expected that the parties will discuss a wide range of issues including the relations with the neighbouring countries, the aspects of EU development, “Eastern Partnership”, interaction with the leading world powers.

The Consultations at the level of the heads of analytical divisions of the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Latvia are held for the first time.
