Ambassador of Belarus E.Sobolevski meets Minister of Industry of Egypt

On April 22, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Evgueni Sobolevski, met with the Minister of Industry of Egypt, Khaled Hashem.

The parties discussed issues of industrial cooperation and the operation of assembly plants for Belarusian agricultural and automotive machinery in Egypt, including the reduction of import duties on components for such plants and the distribution of jointly manufactured products, as well as the possibility of establishing direct interbank cooperation.

With a view to enhancing trade and economic cooperation, the Ambassador invited the leadership of the Egyptian Ministry of Industry to participate in the 8th meeting of the Belarus-Egypt Joint Trade Commission in early May 2026 in Minsk and to hold the 4th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Working Group on Industrial Cooperation by the end of the year.
