The Belarusian side proceeds from the common international practice which assumes that interparliamentary dialogue develops on the basis of equality and mutual respect.
A visit of a parliamentary delegation means that there is an invitation from members of parliament of the country of destination— the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in this particular case. Whereas the Polish parliamentarians have planned their visit to Belarus not only ignoring the contacts with their Belarusian colleagues, but also without any notification of the Belarusian side.
In this regard there is a question: what kind of positive contribution to the relations between Belarus and Poland may such a “secret” visit make, when it is organized with disregard to the principles of mutual trust, openness and good-neighbor relations?
