From September 21 to October 6, 2011 a regular session of the 187th UNESCO Executive Board takes place in Paris.
Belarusian delegation headed by Ambassador at Large, Chairman of the National Commission of Belarus for UNESCO Vladimir Schastny participates in the session.
The session will consider the Draft Programme and Budget of UNESCO for the years 2012-2013.
The participants of the session will exchange views on issues related to implementation of UNESCO strategy within the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, will discuss the implementation of the strategy for technical and vocational education.
The delegation of Belarus will offer the participants the Executive Board to strengthen the work of the Organization and to provide the necessary financial resources from the regular budget for the development of inclusive education system, and ecological networks on the basis of Biosphere Reserves.
The Belarusian delegation will also advocate strengthening of the technical assistance programs to the States in the area of developing vocational education, preservation of cultural and natural heritage, as well as documentary heritage with the use of modern information technologies.
All these areas fully correspond to the priorities of Belarus in the field of international educational cooperation.
In meetings with representatives of National Commissions of UNESCO Member States the delegation will discuss the issues of regional and bilateral cooperation, preparation and implementation of joint projects.
