On the Meeting of Mr.Aleksander Gerasimenko with Mr.Ugis Magonis, the Chairman of the Latvian Railway

On 2nd November, 2012 Mr. Aleksander Gerasimenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Latvian Republic met with Mr.Ugis Magonis, the Chairman of the public JSC “Latvian Railway”.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the prospects of Belarusian-Latvian cooperation in transport and transit. At present traffic in goods between two countries is constantly increasing.

Mr. Ugis Magonis marked that the Latvian side is ready to co-invest together with the Belarusian side into the development of Belarusian-Latvian railways in order to increase their capacity.

The parties discussed the issues of the National exposition of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusian-Latvian business forum that will take place on 6-9 December, 2012 in Riga.
