On November 9, 2012 consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Ukraine on the cooperation with the OSCE and the Council of Europe took place in Kiev.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Mr.Roman Romanovsky, Head for Pan-European Cooperation of the FMA.
During the consultations the parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine in the framework of the OSCE during 2013 when Ukraine will be OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
The parties agreed that it is important to proceed with the reforms of the OSCE which means to adopt OSCE Statute and finalize international legal registration of the Organization, improve the election observation procedures.
The parties underlined the necessity for further development of the economic-environmental and human dimension of the OSCE, cooperation in struggling against common challenges.
During the consultations Belarus and Ukraine discussed the prospects of cooperation with the Council of Europe.
