On September 14, 2012 Ashkhabad (Turkmenistan) hosts the 55th session of the CIS Economic Council. Belarusian delegation will be headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Anatoly Kalinin. Belarusian Foreign Ministry is represented in the delegation by the deputy head of the Division for the CIS and EurAsEc, Ruslan Esin.
The agenda consists of 20 issues, including the implementation of the Plan of Priority Actions on Implementation of the Concept of Cooperation of the Member States in Energy Sector, the conditions on the securities markets, etc.
The issue of financing creation and development of the common air defense system of the CIS member states will also be examined during the meeting.
The members of the Economic Council will review the draft Plan of Priority Actions in the Sphere of Humanitarian Cooperation for 2013-2014, the Concept of Anti-Terrorist Activities on Railway Transport.
