On September 24, 2013 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Ms. Alena Kupchyna, Deputy Foreign Minister, met Mr. Gunnar Wiegand, Director of Russia, Eastern Neighbourhood, Central Asia and OSCE of the European External Action Service.
During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects of Belarusian-European dialogue and practical cooperation between Belarus and the European Union in the spheres of mutual interest.
Ms. Alena Kupchyna and Mr. Gunnar Wiegand also touched upon the issues related to the participation of Belarus in the Eastern Partnership and to the preparation for the third Summit of this initiative, which is to be held on November 28–29, 2013 in Vilnius.
