On the Participation of the Belarusian Delegation in the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly

On 17 September, 2013 the United Nations General Assembly opened its 68th session in New York.

The delegation of Belarus will be led by Mr. Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who’s programme of work will last from 24 to 28 September.

In addition to delivering a statement at the Assembly’s General Debate, the Minister will take part in a number of other high-level meetings, including the Special Event on the Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, the 8th Conference on Facilitating the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, the High-level Meeting on Nuclear Disarmament, and the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Moreover, Mr. Vladimir Makei will have several meetings with his counterparts from other UN Member States, as well as with UN senior officials in order to discuss bilateral and multilateral matters.
