On June 21, 2012 Saint Petersburg will host the 54th session of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The Belarusian delegation will be headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, a member of the Economic Council, Sergei Roumas. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igor Petrishenko will represent the Ministry in the delegation.
During the meeting of the Council the sides will discuss drafts of the Cooperation strategy in building and developing the information society, the Action Plan on its implementation for the period up to 2015, and the Agreement on Interstate Technical Regulations.
The participants of the meeting will consider the issue of introducing amendments into a number of legal acts, and the issues of humanitarian cooperation of the Commonwealth member states.
The sides will discuss the activities of the Interstate Council on Fair, Exhibition and Congress Activities of the CIS, and decisions on financial and organizational issues, related to the Commonwealth activities.
