Belarusian delegation participates in the Forum of the UN Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business

On September 19-23, 2011 Geneva hosts the 18th Forum of the United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN CEFACT). The Belarusian delegation at the event is chaired by the director of the Center of identification systems and electronic business Victor Dravitsa, who is vice chairman of the UN CEFACT Bureau.

Note: UN CEFACT is a subsidiary intergovernmental body of the Committee on Trade of the Economic Commission for Europe. The United Nations CEFACT currently involves in its activities not only the representatives of the UNECE member-states, but also the experts from the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America.

UN CEFACT aims to assist States and the business community in implementing effective and simple mechanisms for the exchange of goods and services. Its principal focus is to create the most conducive environment for national and international business transactions through the simplification and harmonization of processes, procedures and flow of digital information.

UN CEFACT Forum is the operational element of the UN CEFACT. Forum sessions are held in the format of thematic Standing groups of experts, that are in charge of specific issues of business operations facilitation and developing of  appropriate information systems.
