On the Visit of Ambassador of Belarus to Bulgaria to Burgas region

On September 9 – 10, 2013 Mr.Vladimir Voronkovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria, visited Burgas region of Bulgaria.

The Ambassador met with Mr.Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Bourgas, and Mr.Pavel Marinov, Governor of Burgas region. The sides discussed the opportunities of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, including the ties of twin cities of Burgas and Gomel, and between the regions of Burgas and Gomel, as well as activization of education, culture and tourism cooperation.

In Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry the Ambassador and the Councellor of the Embassy Ms.Elena Kaloshkina held a meeting with the Head of the Chamber and the business community of the region. The parties discussed measures of promotion of bilateral cooperation. Belarusian side presented the investment, trade and economic opportunities of the Republic of Belarus.

During the visit V.Voronkovich met with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus Atanas Popov (consular district includes the Burgas and Varna region).
