Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Martynov Visits Indonesia

On June 11-13 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Martynov is in Jakarta with official visit.

On June 11 the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry held talks with his Indonesian colleague Marty Natalegawa. The sides discussed the issues of expanding cooperation on all bilateral agenda issues, as well as the possibilities for further advancing interaction between Belarus and Indonesia in multilateral format.

Finalizing the talks S.Martynov and M.Natalegawa signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia on bilateral consultations.

The heads of the Foreign Ministries also exchanged notes of ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on visa-free travel for the holders of diplomatic and service passports, signed in 2011. The Agreement will enter in force on July 9, 2012.

The same day the Minister of Foreign Affairs took part in the official opening ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Indonesia.
