On the Session of Belarus-Slovakia Joint Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation

On November 25 – 26, 2013 the 11th session of Belarus-Slovakia Joint Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical cooperation, created within the Intergovernmental Agreement on economic cooperation between the Government of the Republic of  Belarus and the Government of Slovak Republic as of February 10, 1994, takes place in Bratislava.

The Belarusian part of the Committee is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Alexander Guryanov, the Slovak – by the State Secretary of the Economic Ministry of Slovakia Mr.Pavol Pavlis.

The participants of the session will discuss cooperation in the sphere of energy, machine building, tourism, transport, standardization and certification, interaction between financial and credit institutions. The negotiations between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and agencies in the sphere of investments and trade will be held.

The parties plan to sign the Memorandum of cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency and the Memorandum of cooperation between the National Centre of Marketing and Price Study of Belarus and Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency.

The sides also plan to hold bilateral meetings between the Head of the Belarusian delegation and the representatives of Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the development of the political dialogue, trade, economic and investments cooperation, legal framework development, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
