On the Meeting of Mr.Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, with the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce in Istanbul

On November 1, 2013 within the working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Vladimir Makei to Turkey, the Head of the Foreign Ministry held a meeting with the Vice-President of the Turkish biggest Chamber of Commerce in Istanbul Mr.Dursun Topçu.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Mr.Valery Kolesnik, Consul General of Belarus to Istanbul Mr.Igor Bely, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr.Mikhail Myatlikov and other members of the Belarusian delegation.

During the meeting Mr.Vladimir Makei underlined that Turkey is one of the important and attractive economic partners for Belarus and expressed interest in the development of cooperation ties in the sphere of high added value goods production.

The parties discussed the expansion of Belarus-Turkey cooperation in trade and economic spheres, including by means of holding business for a and business matchmaking sessions.

The sides considered the participation of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce members in the implementation of the investments projects on the territory of Belarus, as well as the development of interaction in the exhibition activities.

The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the investments potential of our country and invited the members and leadership of the Chamber of Commerce to take part in the Belarusian Investment Forum that will take place next year.

Mr.Dursun Topçu marked the interest of the Turkish businessmen in the preferential conditions of doing business in Belarus in the context of Customs Union and Common Economic Space functioning.
