On the Consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Czech Republic on Consular Issue

On May 29, 2013 the consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Czech Republic on consular issues took place in Minsk.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Mr.Alexander Ostrovsky, Head of the Consul Directorate, the Czech – by Mr.Jan Vychital, Director of the Department for Consular Concepts and Methodology.

During the consultations the sides discussed the results of work of consular services and the visa policy priorities of the two countries. The parties also considered the issues of rights’ protection of citizens, legal framework of dual citizenship and the citizenship of children in mixed Belarus-Czech families.

Mr.Jan Vychital and Ms.Dagmar Didenko Novohradska, Chargé d’affaires ad interim of the Czech Republic to Belarus, held a meeting with Ms.Alena Kupchyna, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The parties agreed to hold the regular round of consultations in 2014 in Prague.
