Belarusian Delegation Headed by Mikhail Rusyi Visits Rostov Oblast

On May 29-30 Belarusian delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Rusyi visits Rostov Oblast of the Russian Federation.

M.Rusyi visited “Evrodon” company, the leader of the Russian market in manufacturing and processing of turkey, as well as solvent extraction plant and bakery of the “Agrosoyuz "Yug Rossii" group of companies.

Program of the visit includes the meetings of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus with the Governor of the Rostov oblast Vasiliy Golubev, with the executives of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Rostov oblast, and with the representatives of the business circles of this Russian region.

Rostov oblast is one of the key trade partners of the Republic of Belarus among the regions of the South Federal District of the Russian Federation.

Note: In 2011 foreign trade between the Republic of Belarus and Rostov oblast made US$274.3, increasing by 17.6 percent compared to 2010. Exports were US$ 176.2 million (increased by 24.9 percent), imports were US$ 98.1 million (an increase of 6.4 per cent). The trade balance is positive at the level of US$ 78.1 million.

In January-March of 2012 foreign trade between the Republic of Belarus and Rostov oblast totaled US$90.4 million (34.6 percent growth). Exports increased to $46.5 million (12.4 percent growth compared to the same period of 2011), imports grew to $43.9 million, (70.2 percent increase). The trade balance is positive at the level of US$ 2.7 million.
