The Situation in Ukraine. Comments by Mr.Dmitry Mironchik, Head of Department of Information — Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry
18 February 2014Belarus is highly concerned about the situation in neighboring Ukraine, with which our country is linked by long-lasting and close ties of friendship.
The Belarusian side is worried about the aggravation of the situation in the center of Kyiv on February 18, 2014. We believe that radical, unlawful methods of resolving internal political conflicts are unacceptable.
We continue to stand for the resolution of the political crisis in Ukraine by means of a civilized dialogue, in full compliance with the rule of law and without any outside interference.
We express hope that the situation in the country will stabilize in the nearest future and balanced decisions for the benefit of the Ukrainian nation will be made.
