On the final day of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Vladimir Makei to Iran

On March 17, 2014 during the final day of the official visit to Iran Mr. Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, met with Mr. Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Leader of Iran stressed the need for further development of political dialogue between the two countries. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways of increasing bilateral trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.

Mr. Vladimir Makei also held meetings with the Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Mr. Hashemi Rafsanjani, Speaker of the Parliament Mr. Ali Ardashir Larijani, Minister of Industry and Mines – co-chair of Belarus-Iran commission on economic cooperation Mr. Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh.

During the talks the parties confirmed their willingness to provide mutual support in the international arena, stated the concurrence of views on major international policy issues and expressed interest in further development of cooperation in trade and investment spheres.
