The Conference ?Information Technology and Law? took place in Minsk

On 1 November, 2012, IV International Scientific and Practice Conference “Information Technology and Law” (Legal Informatization – 2012) took place in the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The Conference was organized by the National Center of Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus (NCLI) and UNESCO Chair in Information Technologies and Law at the National Center of Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus.

The representatives of The Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russian Federation took part in the Conference. They discussed the legal aspects of information society regulation, public access to legal information, use of information technologies in legal sphere and education.

Mr.Vladimir Schastny, Ambassador, Chairman of the National Commission of the Republic of Belarus for UNESCO made a statement on UNESCO activities in introducing information technologies in education, science and culture and cooperation between Belarus and UNESCO in this field.

Mr.Vladimir Schastny informed the participants about the creation of “Law site for children” by UNESCO Information Technology and Law Department and the data base on the history of Belarusian law.
