Belarus and Central African Republic establish diplomatic relations

On April 4, 2012 Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations Andrei Dapkiunas and Permanent Representative of the Central African Republic Charles-Armel Doubane signed a joint communique on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries in New York.

The sides affirmed their commitment to strengthen the friendly relations existing between the two countries and develop bilateral political, economic and cultural cooperation, based on the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.

During the discussion heads of diplomatic missions of Belarus and the Central African Republic denoted the need to expand coordination of activities between the two countries in the international arena, particularly via the expansion of contacts and joint projects between the two missions to the United Nations.
