Belarusian delegation participates in the 49th session of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

From September 26 to October 5 Geneva hosts the 49th session of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Belarusian delegation participates in the Assembly. It is headed by the Director General of the National Intellectual Property Center, Leonid Voronetsky. The delegation will take part in plenary sessions of the Assemblies, the Standing Committees of WIPO and the regional group of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as hold several bilateral meetings.

Participants of the session will discuss financial issues of the WIPO activities, the development prospects of the international intellectual property system. Members of governing bodies will be elected during the event as well.

Note: The Republic of Belarus is a member of WIPO since April 26, 1970, is a member of the WIPO Coordination Committee, the Committee on Program and Budget, and the Executive Committee of the Paris Union. The major direction of cooperation between Belarus and WIPO is development of the national intellectual property system.
