Belarusian delegation participates in the ITU Telecom World 2011 Event

On October, 25 Geneva hosted the opening of the ITU Telecom World 2011 Event.

The Belarusian delegation participates in the event. The members of the delegation represent the Ministry of Communications and Informatization and national telecommunications provider “Beltelecom”. Belarusian pavilion is set up within the international information and communication technologies exhibition, which is traditionally held within the framework of the ITU Telecom World Event.

The President of the Republic of Belarus A.Lukashenko sent a message to the participants and guests of this global forum, which has a leading role in the sphere of information and communications technologies.

“Belarus has defined information and communications technologies as on of the key elements of the innovative economic development of the country. The information products and technical solutions presented in the National Pavilion demonstrate the achievements of our country as the regional leader in this sphere”, reads the message of the President.

This year celebrates the 40th anniversary of “ITU Telecom”. During these years the forum has become the platform for gathering heads of the largest corporations, state authorities and leading international experts to discuss the development options in the sphere of information and communications technologies as well as the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
