Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov Visited the Republic of Belarus

On August 14-15, 2012 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov paid a working visit to the Republic of Belarus.

A meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Martynov with his Russian colleague took place during the visit. The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the interaction between Belarus and Russia in the foreign policy area, exchanged opinions on the international agenda issues of mutual interest.

The heads of the Foreign Ministries reviewed the implementation of the 2012-2013 Program of Coordinated Measures in the Foreign Policy Area of the States Members of the Treaty on Creation of the Union State, as well as the issues related to preparation and organization of the joint meeting of the boards of the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia, scheduled for this year.
