On the Participation in the Innovation and Internationalization Forum in Verona

On October 17 – 18, 2013 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Italy Mr.Evgeny Shestakov took part in the II Eurasian Forum “Innovation and Internationalization” held in Verona, Italy.

During the session of the Forum the participants discuss various aspects of innovation and internationalization. The discussions in the sectional format also unfold such timely topics as energy, environment, telecommunications, transport, public administration and finance.

The Forum was attended by the State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Mr.Grigory Rapota, Board Member (Minister) for the main areas of integration and macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Committee Mr.Tatiana Valovaya, Board Member (Minister) on economics and financial policy of the Eurasian Economic Committee Mr.Timur Suleimenov, heads of major companies and financial institutions of the CIS countries, Italy and China.

During his speech the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus introduced the participants to the Belarusian vision of the integration processes in the post-Soviet space, while paying particular attention to the competitive advantages of our country and its attractiveness for Italian businesses.The Head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission held talks with the leadership of several Italian companies in order to discuss prospects for strengthening Belarusian-Italian interregional links, developing bilateral economic and trade cooperation, as well as themes of Belarus’ participation in the World Exhibition “Expo -2015”.
