On the Session of the Committee for Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council

On October 16, 2013 the regular session of the Committee for Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council took place in Moscow under the chairmanship of Plenipotentiary Representative of Belarus to the CIS Economic Council, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Mr.Igor Petrishenko.
During the session the parties discussed the draft agreements on information interaction between CIS members in the sphere of transport security, on cooperation in the sphere of scientific and technical information exchange, as well as the project of the Intergovernmental radio-navigation program till 2016.
The sides considered the Plan of Action in the sphere of cross-border cooperation for 2014 – 2015 and complex of joint efforts in preventing and struggling against foot-and-mouth disease virus until 2020.
The parties discussed the issues related to the activity of the Intergovernmental Committee for forest industry, Council of the Customs Service Heads, as well as base institutions of the CIS members in the economic sphere.
