Ambassador of Belarus A.Ponomarev meets the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On March 11th, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina concurrently Alexander Ponomarev met with Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina and agreed on a plan of bilateral visits for the near future. The interlocutors agreed that the opening of the office of the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Bosnia and Herzegovina in December 2020 should give a positive impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of areas.

This meeting took place within the framework of A.Ponomarev's working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 8 to 11 March 2021.

Earlier, during the visit, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission held talks with Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Stasa Kosarts. At the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, issues of intensifying the development of the bilateral legal framework were discussed. The Ambassador of Belarus also met with the mayor of Zvornik Zoran Stevanovic and representatives of the management of a number of industrial companies.
