On the Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Vladimir Makei with the Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Mr.Sergei Lebedev

On March 20, 2014 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Vladimir Makei held a meeting with the Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Mr.Sergei Lebedev.

During the meeting the parties discussed the preparation for the forthcoming Council of the CIS Ministers of Foreign Affairs on April 4 in Moscow, as well as the chairmanship in the CIS in 2014.

In particular, the proposal to preside as a chair within the sessions of the Heads of State Council, the Council of the Heads of Government and Ministers of Foreign Affairs was addressed to Belarus. The Belarusian party assured that the above mentioned initiative of the CIS Executive Council will be considered in a short time in the spirit of meaningful participation of our country in integration processes at the post-Soviet space.
