Secretary General of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance visited the Republic of Belarus

From August 13 to August 16 2012 James Poisant, Secretary General of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), was in Minsk with a visit at the invitation of Belarusian side.

On August 14, the Minister for the Foreign Affaires of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Martynov met with James Poisant. The sides discussed the perspectives of cooperation between Belarus and WITSA.

The program of the visit includes meetings of James Poisant with leaders of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, as well as visits to the leading companies in information technologies, the acquaintance with the IT industry of Belarus and with the infrastructure for major international events.

WITSA is the leading organization in the global ITC industry. It unites more than 80 national associations in the field of computer and information technologies, which covers more than 90 percent of world IT-market.

Scientific and technological association “Infopark” represents the Republic of Belarus in the WITSA.
