On the Visit of the Belarusian Delegation to Sudan

On January 13, 2014 within the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Sudan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Valentin Rybakov met with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan Mr.Kamal Ismail. During the meeting the parties discussed the whole range of issues of bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the issues of trade and economic interaction expansion, the preparation for the second session of Joint Belarus-Sudan Committee on cooperation, as well as the development of the bilateral legal framework.

The first round of the consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Sudan was held. The Belarusian Delegation was headed by Mr.Valentin Rybakov, the Sudanese – by Mr.Kamal Ismail. Within the consultations the parties considered the prospects of interaction on the international arena, the development of the integration processes in the CIS, the situation in the Middle East and Africa.

Later on the same day Mr.Valentin Rybakov held a meeting with Secretary General of the Sudanese Trade Chambers – Mr.Bakri Yousif and Director-General of the company «MIG» Mr.Mohamed Ismail. During the meeting with Mr.Mohamed Ismail, the parties considered the ways of increasing the deliveries of Minsk Tractor Works, Minsk Automobile Plant and Belshina production to the Sudanese market.

Following the results of the negotiations with the representatives of the Sudanese business circles the agreement to organize business forum within the upcoming session of the bilateral committee on cooperation, as well as the visit of the Sudanese businessmen delegation to Belarus was reached.
