Belarusian Delegation Participates in 52th Session of the UN Committee for Program and Coordination

From June 4 to 29, 2012 New York hosts the 52nd session of the UN Committee for Program and Coordination (CPC).

Delegation of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN, Andrei Dapkiunas, takes part in the session as a full member of the Committee.

The main issue at the current session will be consideration of the UN strategic framework for the period 2014-2015. Recommendations for 28 thematic programs, contained in the document, will be prepared by the Committee for inclusion in the UN budget.

Belarusian delegation will pay special attention in its work to the programs aimed at sustainable development, trade, scientific cooperation, protection of environment, which are priority issues for our state.

The Committee is a subsidiary organ of te General Assembly and ECOSOC dealing with the issues related to implementation of the approved programs and coordination of future UN strategic framework.
