Belarusian Delegation to Take Part in Working Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of CEI Member States

On June 13, 2012 Trieste (Italy) will host annual working meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central European Initiative (CEI) member states.

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko will chair the session dedicated to “Regional Cooperation for European Integration and Bridge between Macro-regions”.

Ministers and Deputy Ministers of 18 CEI states will take part in the meeting together with the high officials from the European Commission, European External Action Service, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, Adriatic-Ionic Initiative.

Belarusian delegation on the meeting will be headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alena Kupchyna. Head of the Belarusian delegation will address the plenary session and will participate in the discussion on the major issues related to promotion of cooperaion in the CEI region. The results of the discussion will be taken into account in preparation of the Organization's Plan of Action for 2013-2015.

The participants will also approve the draft CEI Cooperation Fund budget for 2013.

It is expected that during the visit to Trieste Alena Kupchyna will meet with the heads of delegation of a number of member-states and with the top executives of the CEI Executive Secretariat.
