Polling Stations Created Abroad for Parliamentary Elections

Elections to the Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus will take place on September 23, 2012.
Citizens staying abroad will have the possibility to vote at the polling stations, created by the diplomatic and consular missions of our country.
There are 43 polling stations created in 32 countries for the upcoming elections (Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan).
For the first time the polling stations were created in two countries, in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Three polling stations created by the new foreign missions that were created in 2011-2012: General Consulates in Munich and Istanbul, and Office of the Embassy of Belarus to the Russian Federation in the Rostov-on-Don.
Polling stations created abroad are assigned to Kupalovsky electoral district No.95 and bear numbers from 715 to 757.
In compliance with the legislation district electoral commissions were created and already began their work.
The voting will be held from 8:00 to 20:00 local time on the election day.
Belarusian nationals who will not be able to come to the polling station on the elections day may vote in advance from September 18 to 22, from 10 to 14 and from 16 to 19 local time.
The lists of voters include citizens of the Republic of Belarus who's residence on the territory of a foreign state is confirmed by the time the lists are created, and by citizens who are on a long-term business trip.
Belarusian nationals who came to a foreign country for private, official, business purposes or tourism. In such case they will be included in the lists of voters upon presentation of identification documents, confirming the Belarusian citizenship.
