V.Makei: Today the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa is visiting our country. This is the first visit of Ms.Maite Nkoana-Mashabane to our country and it is very important.

We consider the Republic of South Africa to be one of the leading economies and one of our key partners in Africa. We think that the existing potential is not fully used at present. Sales turnover equal to almost 33 million US dollars is insufficient. Today my colleague and I exchanged views on how to multiply this figures.

We agreed to cooperate closely in specific spheres and areas, work out projects in agriculture, food security, in the sphere of science and technologies, joint industrial enterprises creation, industrial cooperation and a number of other projects.

We agreed that we'll develop contacts in all spheres and at all levels, and that the 3rd session of the joint committee on trade and economic cooperation must be comprehensively prepared for. We also exchanged views on the situation in some regions and countries.

I consider that the visit of the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa is rather successful and the agreements reached will become the impetus for the further development of our bilateral cooperation.
