On the Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Mr.Valentin Rybakov, with the President of Equatorial Guinea

On November 15, 2013 during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Mr.Valentin Rybakov met with the country’s President Mr.Teodoro Mbasogo in Malabo.

In the course of the meeting, Mr.Valentin Rybakov underlined that Belarus considers Equatorial Guinea to be a promising partner in the region of Central Africa.

The Deputy Foreign Minister presented information on the industrial and agricultural potential of Belarus, noting that the main objective of the visit was to define the principal directions for bilateral cooperation, in particular, in the development of the contractual legal framework.

The President of Equatorial Guinea welcomed the holding of the first visit of the official Belarusian delegation in the history of the bilateral relations. Mr.Mbasogo expressed interest in the development of cooperation in all spheres, particularly in agriculture and industry. The President noted the readiness of Equatorial Guinea to develop the contractual legal framework of the relations with Belarus, promote contacts at the level of foreign ministries, other ministries and departments, as well as the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the arrangement of the visit of Guinean delegation headed by the country’s Foreign Minister, Mr.Agapito Mba Mokuy, to Belarus in 2014.
